Arts And Technology

Art and technology have a long history of inducing collaborative endeavors throughout the 20th century, ranging from by the socialist ‘production’ of the Constructivits 1919; through the more esoteric works of Moholy-Nagy such as ‘Lichtrequisit’ - Light-Space Modulator 1922-1930; to E.A.T. Experiments with Art and Technology with the notorious ‘9 Evenings: Theatre and Engineering’ of 1966 to the immersive Dome of 1970 ; to more recent initiatives such as ZKM, Centre for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, Germany 1997 and the Digital Performance Institute, New York, USA 2000.
