Circuit Diagram

A circuit diagram shows in a simplified and symbolic form the essential components of an electrical circuit and the interconnections between them. The components of the circuit are represented as standard symbols, the arrangement of component/power and signal connectors on the diagram however doesn’t correspond to their physical locations in the finished device. Like with the London Underground the layout is arranged for clarity of reading, and not as a map of the territory above.
